The doors are open! Take a look at the view! Take a look at where your children will stay for their week here in Italy.

Canadian Island is in its first week of camp for Europeans. Next week we will be welcoming the children with their moms. In case you do not know how Me & Mom started it stemmed from this kids camp I started many years ago.

But let me digress, I started a english speaking private school, Canadian Island, for Italians almost 20 years ago. From there it was a natural transition to offer day and residential camps. My residential camps became popular with foreigners, so popular that these families were sending their children to my camp every summer. The summer camps host about 50 children per week with a low staff/camper ratio.

A couple of years ago, I had an ‘ah-ha’ moment. As a single mother I love experiencing new adventures with my son but also, as a businesswoman working long hours, I wanted¬†needed a vacation where I could rejuvenate and come back into ‘reality’ feeling well pampered and energized.

This is where the Me & Mom camp came into fruition. I was able to rent a small (small in European terms) villa that can cater about eight to twelve moms each week while their children are attending camp. The premise is that the moms can really relax and enjoy their time knowing their children were literally five minutes away having their own fun.

So take a look at the pictures below of this week’s residential camp at¬†La Capitana. We will keep them busy while we look after you.
